How Does Invisalign Work?
Before you start treatment, we will take x-rays and photographs of your smile to determine the right treatment for your unique needs. In some cases, Invisalign may not be the best option. If we determine that you are a good candidate for clear aligners, we will start by taking impressions of your teeth. Then, we will send your impressions to the lab to generate a series of clear, custom-made aligners that fit your smile precisely.
When we receive your aligners, we will schedule an appointment to place them on your teeth. Each set comes with an upper and lower aligner that will slightly move your teeth little by little each week. On the same day of the week, you will change to the next set in the series.
Typically, patients finish treatment in approximately nine to fifteen months. However, it’s important to note that treatment length can vary depending on the severity of the issues.
