BRACES

Braces at Durham Orthodontics can range from self-ligating brackets to clear brackets. We believe in offering our patients multiple treatment options to provide efficient, comfortable experiences from beginning to end. During your initial consultation, we can assess your unique smile and discuss the right treatment option for you. The information below provides more details on the types of braces we offer.

3M Victory Series™ Active Brackets

For patients who want a traditional metal braces option, we use the 3M Victory Series brackets. These curved brackets fit over each tooth and use a lower amount of friction, making them more comfortable than ever before. We can also apply adhesive precisely to each tooth for more efficient results. Patients love Victory brackets due to their faster treatment time.

Clarity Advanced

Ceramic braces are a great option for patients who want a virtually unnoticeable bracket. Each ceramic bracket matches the color of your teeth and is durable as well as stain-resistant. This means you don’t have to worry about coming in to fix your appliances or having white spots on your teeth when the braces come off. If you prefer a subtler treatment option, ask us about our Clarity Advanced brackets.

Lingual Options

If you’re looking for practically invisible treatment, you may prefer the lingual route. Lingual means behind-the-teeth, so your brackets and wires won’t be noticeable from the front. We use Incognito™ braces, which come with high-grade, state-of-the-art technology for a durable construction and design. Each bracket is customized to fit your individual smile, making them extremely comfortable and efficient. Many teen and adult patients love how undetectable lingual brackets can be.

For those who are curious about treatment without brackets and wires, we can also provide treatment using clear aligners. For information about alternatives to brackets, visit our Invisalign page.
